Our Worship

When you visit Hanover Church's Sunday morning worship you may notice, first of all, the diversity of the congregation.  Gathering from the city and suburbs, people of various races and ethnic groups, young and old, gay and straight, raise their voices in prayer and song.  You will also notice a large choir, singing anthems and leading the congregation in the international repertoir of music from ancient to contemporary.  Since our church is committed to educating people to overcome racism, we make a special effort to celebrate the African American contribution to our religious heritage, singing gospels and spirituals frequently.  You will find that preaching at Hanover Church comforts and strenghtens your faith, but also challenges you to mature in your Christian understanding.  Come and worship with us.
