Peace Week Interfaith Conversations

September 24, 2017

As part of Peace Week Delaware (September 17-24, 2017), representatives from ten different faith traditions will lead conversations about peacemaking through their sacred texts, communities, traditions, and experiences. Each participant will be able to choose two small group discussions.  The event will open with a short interfaith devotional service and include a time of fellowship and refreshments before and during a break in the middle.

The goal for the conversations is for those who attend to be exposed to peacemaking in a different tradition than their own. Leaders are invited to share the texts, traditions, stories and mandates in their tradition, as well as their personal experiences. After doing so, the conversation is ideally opened up for discussions of the similarities and differences between that tradition and the ones represented by others in the group.

More details coming soon!
