September 5-6, Healing Our Nation Workshops

On September 5 and 6 we will be honored to host a powerful and timely pair of events, both offered by Healing our Nation.  On Friday (6:30-9:30 pm) they will offer a workshop that is open to all called Understanding the Origins of Oppression, an introductory workshop designed for “the curious, the committed, and the uncertain who are striving to make a difference in the world.”  On Saturday morning (9am-noon) the same group will offer a workshop called Recreating Ourselves “for people of African heritage exploring the origins of internalized oppression.” Each workshop has a $15 fee; please call the church office if you would like to attend as scholarships are available.
