Do you believe…
…that a community of people working together can make the world a better place?
…in the power of hospitality to bring unity?
…that we are all different so we can learn from one another?
So do we!
You are invited to come celebrate the power of hospitality, the blessings of diversity, and the call to work for justice each and every Sunday – and every day in between!
Here are just a few of the many ways to become involved at Hanover:
-
Are you an advocate for social justice?
We have several opportunities to work for justice such as our Faith in Action committee, working to reduce mass incarceration through the New Jim Crow discussion group, and marching for peace in our city.
-
Are you a book worm?
Participate in our Brown Bag Book Club.
-
Do you want to exercise regularly?
We offer free Zumba classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and free Yoga on Fridays
-
Are you musical?
You are welcome to join the Hanover Choir.
We also have Jeremiah Coffee House Open Mic events several times per year.
We have a drum circle led by Minister of Music Twyla Evitts.
-
Do you want to learn about and discuss the Bible or Theology?
We offer Discipleship classes before Worship each Sunday
We have a monthly interfaith gathering at Catherine Rooney’s in Trolley Square called Theology on Tap. Faith traditions represented include Jews, Christians, Spiritualists, Catholics, “free agents” and more!
-
Do you knit or crochet?
We have a K’nittee that meets every Monday at 6:00 p.m…
-
Hungry?
We have a food pantry open every Thursday from 8-11am.
We offer a community dinner on the 3rd Wednesday of the month in partnership with the University of Delaware. Donations are welcome, but there is no cost for the meal.
